Miramap was founded in 2004 by Delft University of Technology geodetic engineer Roland Haarbrink, with support from the European Space Agency in Noordwijk. At ESA, Miramap developed an innovative scanner to accurately detect sub surface soil moisture variations, to be used by watermanagers in the Netherlands.
After two years of research, development and succesful demonstration of the new system, Miramap left the ESA business incubator facility in 2006 to locate the company in Houten. Nowadays, Miramap has grown into a business with unique expertise on remote sensing with a variety of sensorcombinations from moving, flying and satellite platforms.
In 2019, geodetic engineer Sander Dijkman joined the team, and together with founder Roland Haarbrink started the new venture Miramap Aerial Surveys. With our own twin-engine aircraft and a data processing team at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven, the company is taking big steps towards the future.
